Hope your Thanksgiving was fantastic!  We sure had a great time with our family and friends.

What's new?  It is Advent :)  In Germany, the time before Christmas is celebrated almost as much as Christmas itself. My favorite thing? Too many to count, the Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market), the cookies, Advent celebrations each Sunday, real candles on the Christmas tree (and the occasional fire), making straw ornaments, St. Nicklaus, and my personal favorite: my mom reading a Christmas story each night by candle light.  What are your favorite memories?
